Its benefits can be felt as soon as within a day, three days at the most. In some cases however, dieters undertake a 30-day juice fasting while being medically supervised. This is sometimes one of the solutions for more serious weight problems such as obesity and being too overweight.
Starting a juice fasting plan should be made gradually, taking a smooth transition from solid foods to juice-only intakes. Be sure that you are prepared physically and mentally for the challenge. It is best to start avoiding solid foods such as breads, meats, dairy and the like five days before you intend to start your fast. You can also replace your usual breakfast meal with fresh juice to make your body adjust slowly to its new diet. You can work your way up as you get more comfortable and be able to take only juices for lunch and dinner, without consuming any solid food for the day.
There are a lot of juice recipes you can try and choose from to match your tastes. Any fruit will do as long is it is prepared fresh, but fruits such as papaya, tomatoes and berries as well as cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli and brussels sprouts are known to have the most nutrients and antioxidants. Just blend in the fruit or vegetable you prefer with a little amount of water and mix them in the blender to make the juice. You can even make one by blending different ingredients.
